Age Of Empires III PC Game

For the ones who belong to that category of gamers who are proficient in multitasking and strategy gaming, Age of Empires by the Valuesoft Corporation is more than just a pc game – it’s a fuel for the soul. Age of Empires is one pc game which has given a whole new outlook and definition to the term ‘strategy gaming’. It has won loads of consumer satisfaction awards since it was launched, and that has left the players in the gaming asking for more. The latest reply by Valuesoft is in the form of Age of Empires III. The game has two versions namely the War chiefs and the Asian Dynasties. Here is a brief review of the latest in the AOE (Age of Empires) series.

The Basics
The game brings a little into the future from its previous versions, say a hundred years or so. In the free play mode you choose form one of the many civilizations and start with just an ancient town centre and a few workers. Order these villagers/workers to gather resources for you, using which you can form more and more structures and advance to new age altogether at the macro level. In the third version the civilizations are usually European (British, German, French, Russians etc.) with their own characteristic structures and armies.
What sets this version apart from the previous one is the campaign mode. You chose a hero from one civilization and complete different missions in a story like mode. Because the focus has shifted on more advanced civilizations in AOE III, the campaigns have also changed and have consequently become more lengthy and eventful.

Comparison With The Older Versions
On contrasting the latest version is not very different form AOE II. There are certain in-game features which can make the task of managing the whole civilization a little easier and faster, something which is for the gamers to discover themselves. Also the graphics have improved, but only marginally.
The minimum system requirements do justice to the word ‘minimum’ and stay as they were in the older versions. A rating of 7.6 out of 10 would be valid, but who cares about the rating when you are a fan. Happy gaming!

in addition to all major European factions, he added the important factions in Asia, with great graphics and a spectacular optimization. Very entertaining and recommended for everyone who likes the strategy games, and the editor of missions which can generate large maps, both historical and creative also the invasion of Armada. This is really good;)

This is a great game. I played AOE 1 and 2 quite frequently in the past and it’s incredibly addictive especially playing against your friends!

The improved graphics just make it that much more fun. I think they really put some time into listening to players opinions and suggestions without changing the game play too much to keep what makes this game fun. Everyone wants to build a powerful empire from scratch. It’s pretty cool.

Great article, good review, and if you haven’t played this game you need to go out and get it.

Looking forward to the next article!

In the game you can choose between eight different nations, each with its units and features, advantages and disadvantages. For example, the Spaniards have one of the most powerful army, the British have a great economy thanks to its settlers, the Russians have large numbers of troops and resources, etc.. But the real novelty in this regard is found in the incorporation of native tribes, which may be decisive to become a vital allies troops, and perhaps give us some resources. Just in the control of our military, is where we see one of the few ailments that we find in Age of Empires III. And is that even though the CPU is handling the thousand wonders in the heat of battle, the reactions of our armies sometimes seem paralyzed or lost, and although it is generally not serious, in many cases is being felt.

Great that you looked closely at the game for all of us who don’t have the time to differentiate and see the difference.

The most helpful portion for me is how you compared this edition to the old one… it gives connection from the old version to this new one.
