Hoyle Card Games 2009

Hoyle Card Games 1 For the first time in many years, Hoyle Card Games 2009 has a completely new look that is much more graphical with many 3D cut scenes.  I have been playing all of the Hoyle branded games for over 5 years now and I must admit that this version is by far the best I seen.

Hoyle Card Games 2009 includes more than 75 classic card games that you  have come to love, all with the official rules, tips and playing strategies.  A few examples of card games that are included inside theHoyle Card Games 3 software is Cribbage, Bridge, Hearts, Pinochle, Gin, Rummy, Euchre, Canasta, Solitaire and for the first time Texas Hold ‘em Poker.

A new feature in this years version is called Royal Suite, where friends and family can join up to socialize and play online over the Internet.  So now you have the freedom to play locally against interactive computer opponents or play with friends on the Web.

As always, Hoyle has included the Face Creator which allows you to Hoyle Card Games 2customize your own character with facial features and clothing.  In addition, you have the Hoyle Shop where you can purchase extra game items, decor items and music with your tokens accumulated throughout the game.  The game also keeps all of your individual statistics for each card game and each profile, which is a great feature that keeps track of your records and achievements.

Hoyle Card Games 2009 does demand a more modern computer thanHoyle Card Games 4 previous versions released.  The minimum requirements are Windows XP SP3 or Vista SP1, P4 2.4 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, 64 MB Video RAM and a DVD Drive.  Hoyle also runs on a Macintosh OS X 10.4 or higher, Intel 1.5 GHz Processor, 512 MB RAM, 64 MB Video RAM and a DVD Drive.

For more detailed information and ordering, you can visit Encore’s website by clicking here.  The price of the product is $19.99 and unfortunately their is no demo or trial download to test the game before purchasing.

    chodirin,
You can purchase it through the link on this post at Encore’s website. Also Amazon sells the game and I think it is a little cheaper.

    Wow, sounds awesome.

Over 75 clasic games, that sure to keep you busy. I’m sure many would pay $19.99 for the game, does not sound to expensive.

I am terribly disappointed in Hoyle’s 2009 version. I upgraded from the 2008 I had and the newer version is hard to play. If you like Canasta, forget it. You can’t see the cards, it’s almost impossible to move them to the meld spot and you can not move cards by double clicking them. Overall a real disappointment

Try playing pinochle w/o being able to see what the other players have melded. Some of the games are good though and it’s still a good value.

Hoyle Card Games offers a bevy of popular card games, but it does not appreciably advance the series beyond the previous game.
