I believe the future of music lies in digital media. DRM free formats and portable devices such as the iphone. However having your track on a popular game is nothing to turn your nose to.

This is something that maybe become truth in future. There is a trend that each pc games surely will be have some background musics, therefore it won’t be too weird if the future of music is gaming, right?

Though this is interesting, I truely don’t believe that gaming is or could be the future of the music industry. Video games are a niche market, lots of people, myself included, play very few to none at all. Innovation like this is great to see, even though not a first.
The music industry is far from suffering, they simply need to rethink things and the need for large labels such as Universal or Warner growing smaller and smaller every day.
