EA is one name that is right up there when it comes to listing the successful game developers in the gaming market. It has been more than a decade now that EA has gained the top spot when it comes to pc games based on real sports. The world of sports has been contracted to the size of little CDs and DVDs. The EA sports venture is something which has brought the football field or the basketball court to your home and fitted it in your computer screens.

THE NBA SERIES – 2008 VERSION
One laudable creation of this venture is NBA Live. This game brings at your fingertips the control of the major B ball players and teams known to every aware American citizen. The court is yours to rule through a number of modes which vary with varying versions. This is bite on the various new features in the 2008 version. Well on contrasting it with its immediate previous version we would find that there just two advancements or changes rather, talking in terms of game play.
The superstar button has been removed. What these means is that now there is no need to press a special button to perform specific superstar moves. The player moves randomly and the internal AI efficiently decides when to perform one.

This is not really a problem as the person playing would know when to expect the moves, due to the presence of hot spots on the court, the second new addition.

What these advancements have done is taken the burden of the one controlling of remembering complex buttons and being accurate with the timing.
The player during game play tends to move faster than the one in the 07 one, when you press the turbo button.

The required system configuration is very basic such as 1.3 GHz with a minimum RAM memory of 256 Mb (512 for vista), Direct X 9.0 for both sound and video.

The game also requires a 64 Mb video card and the readme text specifies the brands.
All in all the game is a good buy if you are a hardcore NBA fan, and if you are not this game will make one out of you.
