Warhammer 40K Dawn of War II

Relic Entertainment has once again done. The Canadian study reinventing its own concept of Warhammer 40,000 with the second part of Dawn of War, which both strategy and RPG and action.

The details are still scarce at the moment, but there is substantial information that give hints on what to expect from this RTS for its launch, planned for spring 2009. Those details are not included in the factions, as has been well cared for show only two of the candidates in this new battle: the Space Marines and Orks. The second is not needed much introduction. As for Space Marines, it is confirmed that shall consist of members of the Blood Ravens chapter, returning from his mission in the first game.
There are a fixed number of forces, leaving other possible expansions for a bet-that is quite conservative given the same situation in Dawn of War and its expansions. But even in that scenario, it is not a repetition of the same four factions, it is hoped / wished to be some change with respect to the first installment of the series for those who have forgotten, these forces were: Space Marines , Orks, Eldar and Chaos.
One of the wishes of a large number of fans is undoubtedly the inclusion of popular Tyranids, one of the most important and frightening forces in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The excuse so far has been to not having a powerful engine to bring justice to these creatures that wiped out all the planets that appear in its path, something that supposedly is not the case for this project, only to be seen if this makes it gift to the loyal fans from the same title, or decide to wait for a future expansion, knowing that the mere presence of this race and represents a major hitch in itself, given the trajectory of Relic with extensions, is not something that can be discard.
Leaving aside the speculation, there are many details that can talk to property at this stage. The most obvious is the graphics, which aims to achieve a superlative quality beyond that achieved in Company of Heroes. This was not only looking for the quality of their models or animations, it is also something that will move to the battlefield. If a game based on World War II it was possible to see real scenes of destruction and chaos, you just have to imagine the scale can be achieved by a conflict with the advanced military technology and esoteric world of Warhammer.
The buildings in Dawn of War 2 will be a huge size in relation to the units, looking for that feeling of being actually in a real environment and not made a map to scale. Some ideas for Company of Heroes will be picked up and expanded, so that units can capture buildings and made them stronger, although this increases the chances of being located and destroyed under concentrated artillery fire. The engine will also incorporate a physical notable increase in benefits, which will be assessed both in the damage done to the area as the effect of guns on the units.
Dawn of War II does not reinvent the real-time strategy, but adds its bit to expand the perspectives of gender. A violent video game, addictive, and with a campaign that is experiencing a real sense of progression also comes with a compelling cooperative multiplayer and one that returns to the best of its virtues.

Many lovers of video games look forward to Dawn of War II, from Relic Entertainment, because it has been touted as the “latest and greatest.” I’m intrigued by what I’m hearing, because apparently the improvements have made the characters more interactive. In addition, I’ve heard that the “scenery” is spectacular and that the voices are very well done. I’m continually amazed at the way video games have improved over the years, and I wish that they were given more respect. When you have a video game that appears to be as state-of-the-art as Dawn of War II, respect is likely to ensue.

I’ve always been a huge fan of RTS, and Dawn of War was an old favorite. It’s been so long since I last played it that I hadn’t even been thinking about a sequel, but this looks awesome! I’m glad that someone followed up with specs, because my first concern was how well it’ll run given how ‘busy’ things can get. Great rundown, I can’t wait to search this one out!
